The School of Hard Rock

Don't let the name fool you – we do all types of music!

Often copied but never duplicated, the School of Hard Rock is a unique program that creates a band experience for participants. We are looking for musicians, aged 9 – 18, including vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers, piano players and any other instrument that could work within a band. No vocal experience, don't worry, we can help with that. After putting the bands together, we work to teach the essentials of ensemble playing and have been doing so since 2001. Participants will learn the "ins and outs" of the rock band life, from the nitty gritty of rehearsals, to individual coaching, to stage presence, to the finer details of the recording and production of their very own band CD. Participants will also benefit from regular outdoor recreation. A Rock Show concludes the week on Fridays at 3 pm. Come out and work with our world-renowned musicians and clinicians.

Expectations for Participants

We require that all participants in LMCi Summer Camps demonstrate respect for each other and the staff. This includes respect for:

  • each other's safety
  • each other's feelings
  • the property of other's and of LMCi

Any breach of this fundamental principle of respect will not be tolerated. Should a situation arise, parents will be informed and advised that a child may be removed upon a second occurrence. The remainder of any fees will be refunded minus a $30 administrative charge. So that we may ensure their safety, all LMCi Summer Camps participants may not leave their group or the facility without permission from a member of our staff. Participants are to eat lunch in designated areas. In addition, individual camps may have rules specific to their activities and facilities.

For info on Before and/or After-Hours Care, please enquire to info@lippertmusic.com

Litterless Lunches

In order to make waste free lunches convenient and simple for parents, staff and students, we do Boomerang Lunches. How do Boomerang lunches work?

Simple -- whatever comes to camp in a lunch bag goes back home (either in the stomach or in the lunch bag). We hope that this way you can see what your child is eating (or not eating) and put food scraps into your compost. Perhaps you are already doing this. If not, start to gather together the things you will need for a waste free lunch: reusable drink containers, cutlery and food containers.

Refunds and Cancellations

All cancellations must be made in writing, i.e. email or letter.

Refunds, less a $25 administrative charge per child/per session, will be issued for all camp session cancellations up to 2 weeks prior to the first day of the camp session.

Refunds are NOT available within the 2 week period prior to the first day of camp session or thereafter.

Refunds for medical reasons are available only upon presentation of a doctor's certificate to LMCi.

Pro-rated refunds are NOT available for days absent, or other services not fully utilized. The full session's fees are due and payable if a child is registered and attends any part of a session.
