Music Lessons ARE Tax Deductible!

The Canadian Children's Arts Tax Credit (CATC) is a non-refundable tax credit based on expenses paid for the cost of registration of children in an eligible program of artistic, cultural, recreational or developmental activity. The School of Hard Rock

Come learn the art of creating a rock band. Participants will learn the 'ins and outs′ of the rock band, from the nitty gritty of rehearsals and individual coaching, to the finer details of song writing and rock performance. Students should have at least 1 year experience in piano, guitar, bass or drums. No experience necessary for singers. SHR Junior ages 9 - 13 (School Grades 4 - 8) and SHR Senior ages 14 - 17 (School Grades 9 - 12). Maximum 6 members per band.

10 week sessions with a performance to conclude. Cost $175 per session.


Mondays 4:30 – 5:45; 6:30 – 7:45; 8:00 – 9:15 pm; Wednesday 4 – 5 pm; Thursdays 4:30 – 5:45; 6:30 – 7:45; 8:00 – 9:15 pm
Saturday 1 – 2:15; 2:30 – 3:45 pm.

Youth String Ensemble

Don′t be a lonely string player! Come learn the fine art of playing in a string ensemble. Playing in a group is fun, and will give you the opportunity to make music with others and get to know other string players. We will play music from several different styles, from classical, to popular, to traditional. Ages 7 – 17.

Bi-weekly on Mondays from 8:15 – 9 pm starting 3rd Monday after Labour Day

Adult String Ensemble

Don′t be a lonely adult string player either! Our Adult String Ensemble has been running regularly for several years, and is a fun and relaxed evening. Members meet every two weeks, and the class culminates in a performance at the Adult Recital in June. Music is often chosen from a variety of styles.
