Grace Kim is a Korean-Canadian pianist and music eductor who graduated from University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education. After graduating, Grace followed her passion to teach abroad and worked as an English homeroom teacher in Korea for 2 years. While working as a teacher, she gained an incredible experience of working with EFL students and special needs students. Awards and scholarships include Kiwanis Music Festival, Mississauga Peel Music Festival, NPSS Competition, Burlington Rotary Music Festival, OMFA Provincial Finals. Grace was the scholarship recipient of Lobodowsky Choral Scholarship in 2011. In Rome, through TIP (Toyich International Project) she performed in 4 concerts with renowned pianist Orazio Maione. Since 2005, Grace has been actively involved in teaching private piano lessons. Her current students’ age varies from 4 years old to adults, and enjoys interacting with students of various levels of music. Grace believes that music has the power to enrich lives through communicating and creating. She hopes to help bring a new perspective of experiencing the world through music. Grace also specializes in accompanying for choirs in Toronto. Through broadening her experience in choral settings, Grace wishes to pursue her studies in choral conducting and accompanying.
