Aleksander Gerun

Aleksandar Gerun was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia (former Yugoslavia) in 1972. He began studying piano at age six and by thirteen he was performing Haydn's Concerto in D major with the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra. He was the winner of several Republic competitions and twice the third prize winner of the National competitions.

Aleksandar graduated from the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade, Serbia. He has performed at the Vatican, Rome, and in Sarajevo, Belgrade, Toronto and Ottawa. He has 23 years of teaching experience to both children and adults. For the past 14 years he has taught at University Settlement Music & Arts School and Dixon Hall Music School.
